Making a bank transfer with Trumia is straightforward. Here are the steps you need to follow to successfully complete a transfer:
Log In to Your Account: Access your Trumia account via our Mobile App.
Navigate to Transfers: Once logged in, find the 'Transfers' section in the menu.
Alternatively Create Payee First: You can also choose to create a payee from 'Manage Payees' which enables you to send future transfers quicker in future.
Select Transfer Type:
- Local Transfer: Choose this option for transfers within the UK in GBP, or Denmark in DKK.
- P2P Transfer: To transfer to other Trumia customers.
- SEPA Transfer: Select this for Euro-denominated transfers within the Single Euro Payments Area.
- Cross Border Transfer: Use this for sending money outside your local region or in different currencies.
IBAN or Account Number:
P2P: Payments to TRUMIA account holders are made using the TRUMIA account number.
Local: Please use the GBP 8 digit account number for UK, or the 10-14 digit Denmark account numbers for DKK Local.
SEPA: Only an IBAN is required and the SWIFT code is calculated automatically. Please ensure that the IBAN only includes capital letters.
Cross Border: An IBAN and the SWIFT code is required for Cross Border Payments. Please ensure that the bank details only includes capital letters.
Enter the Amount: Specify how much money you want to send and select the currency if applicable.
Add a Reference (optional): You can include a payment reference or memo that will appear in the transaction record for both you and the recipient.
Review and Confirm: Double-check all the details are correct. Make sure the recipient's information and the amount being sent are accurate.
Authorise the Transfer: Complete any required authentication steps, such as Biometrics or a one-time password if prompted.
Submit the Transfer: Confirm the transaction to send the money. You should receive a confirmation message or email stating that the transfer has been initiated.
Track the Transfer: Keep track of the transfer status through your account. In cases where the transaction shows as successful, however the payment is not visible on the app as of yet, this means that the payment is currently being processed. Most transfers are completed within a few business days, depending on the type of transfer and the recipient's location.
